On a car run yesterday, a fellow local member produced the item in the attached photo for me. It is a notepad holder, presumably for a salesman to have on his desk.
As he was giving it to me, another club member appeared with an item for me which I immediately recognised as a Rolls coil of the late 20s/early 30s. The man who was giving me the Rover holder has two early Rolls cars as well as the Mk6 Bentley he had with him yesterday so he received the coil and I had the Rover ephemera. Likely date -Late 30s or just post war? Does anyone know more precisely?
