Passed roadworthy - a reregistered P3 on the road

Post by neil.henderson » Tue Mar 20, 2012 7:49 am

Hi All,
Just wanted to let you all know that a P3 75 4-light will be back on the road at Shannons Wheels Day here in Canberra. She is now christened Harriet (after my mothers favourite aunt) and passed her roadworthy today with flying colours!!! :D
Harriet will have NSW conditional registration - number 33435H - wave if you see us going by.....................

I am just so pleased that she will be back on the road - and in no small part to all the help & encouragement that I have received from this forum - so thanks guys you have been a real help. I put new bushes into the front suspension radius arms this past weekend and put new tyres on the front - made one heck of an improvement.
Of course there are still a million things I'd like to do, but for now I shall enjoy driving her in the autumn sunshine.

Regards Neil

Hello Neil,

That's great news!

Any chance of a photograph of the inaugural trip?

Happy motoring...

Best

Matthew

Hi Neil
I have just become a member of this list, and also live in Australia - just outside of Adelaide, South Australia. I also have a P3 4 Light. I may well be asking this forum some questions in future. Good luck with your car.
Best Regards
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Good to hear that P3's are moving in South Australia - I have found this forum very useful in getting my P3 registered & the work I had to do.
I assume you know about Scotts Old Rubber in Melbourne? V. useful for P3 parts I've found.

If you're ever up this way give me a shout - always great to catch up with P3 owners - I know of a few P3 bits lying around NSW by the way....
