Richard Moss

Post by richard moss » Thu Sep 25, 2008 12:26 am

My name's Richard Moss and I'm a Roverholic.

In fact, I like most BMC/BL/ARG/Rover/MGR products from early 1960's onwards.

I currently run a 1990 Rover 800 Sterling (see the appropriate section), a 1990 XJ6 (XJ40) 2.9 and I have a 1969 MGC GT which I've had for 19 years but will probably sell soon if I can get a sensible price for it.

My wife Phillippa is almost as bad - currently snorting around in a 1993 216 Cabrio (Honda DOHC engine) but previously seen in a LHD 414, 820 Vitesse and 820 Si (with Sterling spec interior).

Hi Richard, Glad to see you've found the RSR forum.

Hopefully once the RSR members know about this forum things will start getting busy.

What a great opportunity for the RSR to spread the word on, not only Rover but also surely a great advertising medium for the RSR.

Yes welcome Rchard.

You'll be a great addition to the RSR with you knowledge, enthusiasm and fleet!

Re: RSR membership.

I've already been in touch with the club about this but responses seem to take forever to come my way, so maybe making a noise here might attract some response.

I've mentioned before that I never received my yearbook and 2009 issues of Freewheel (a matter now rectified - thank you to Mike Maher) however, I had an email from Mike Wollard about my membership. The club seem to think that my membership expired in 2008 - which given that I JOINED in 2008 is unlikely! I pointed out to him that as the renewal date is September each year, when I joined in July 2008 I was told that my membership would run until Sept 2009 (they'd give me the 2 months free). I also pointed out that I am the R Moss from Wolverhampton 9paid up member) not the R Moss from Cheshire (membership cancelled, I believe). However, a week on from that communication I've had no response.

Rich C, you joined at CitP in 2008, the same as I did - have you had any trouble? Unfortunately, I can't remember who it was who took my money at Lichfield last year.
