Hello to all, we joined the Club a couple of weeks ago and posted a request for some help with the dimensions of the front springs on our Rover 10 and we were kindly supplied with numerous offers of help/information, which was greatly appreciated!
We purchased this car a couple of years ago in boxes and have gradually been restoring parts and re-assembling the car since. The engine and gear box are now in and working fine, the body has been painted (as have the wings). We have re-fitted the rear wings, which look fine but, when we have come to fit the front wings, after some juggling we finally got them fitted only to find that the front wheels were virtually touching the front of the wings. Our first thoughts were that the front springs were incorrectly fitted, or the wrong size, but members have kindly sent us spring dimensions and after careful measuring we have come to the conclusion that the springs and wheels are, in fact, correct.
We can only assume that the front wings are not originally off this car and are probably from a different model. We have tried to study pictures off the internet to try to ascertain this but we can't seem to find any pictures that closely relate to this part of the car. We wonder once again if any other club members may be able to give us any information, either written or photographic, as to the specific design and fit between the front wheel and front wing?
Does any member know of the whereabouts of any Rover 10 P2 wings that may be for sale? It would be great to find a good pair of wings but any condition would be considered, if they are the correct model, as we are prepared to work on them (again!).
We live in Nettleham, Lincolnshire and would love to hear from anyone locally who has a similar Rover 10 or can just help us with this predicament.
Hope you all have a good Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
Kind regards, Andy and Denise Myers

Re: Rover P2 10 1946 front wings wheel alignment query
To begin with, there is some offset, and the front wheels are closer to front of the front wing, rather then to its center. However, make sure that you have the right size of tire! 17X475. If it is larger than that there might be a problem.
