Hello there,
does anyone know how much a rover p4 110 is allowed to pull as a maximum using a braked trailer ?
I was thinking of using my P4 to pull a trailer of appr. 600 kg transporting a 1000 Kg car on it, so let's assume a total weight of 1600 to 2000 Kg.
Living in Holland, i think the rules here are about the same as in the UK.
Think I will have to replace my Original(!) towbar, but one have to make sacrifices, sometimes ...
thanks
Quinten

Re: how much a rover p4 110 is allowed to pull?
I got a reply from the government yesterday (Dutch RDW):
when the manufacturer issues a statement regarding the towing weights, they will change the carpapers accordingly .
OR: if the Dutch importer submits a statement regarding the towing weights, they will change the carpapers
If I wont be able to do so, they will allow 1000 Kg to be the max towing weight for braked weight and 500 Kg for a non-braked trailer
So, no P4 towing a P2 in the near future ...

That's not good news. I wonder if someone at the Rover P4 Guild would be able to assist you
