Chroming

Post by Colin » Thu Nov 05, 2015 1:00 pm

I have had a great summer driving the 1939 Rover 14 SS and now it's time to park up and get some jobs done. One thing is re-chroming of bumpers front and rear, headlights and headlight rims, horn and hubcaps. Are any of these parts available to buy already chromed? I know chroming is expensive. My hubcaps are quite dented and I'm not sure it's even feasible to get them chromed. Stuff comes up on ebay but nothing suitable for my car yet...
Thanks for any guidance. Colin.

I have a set of four rechromed hub caps with screws in perfect condition, the scripts are deep and not polished out. I am asking £200 plus p&p, I was about to put them on ebay. Chris

Thanks Chris but my hub caps are push fit ones - no screws. There are 5 metal spring clips riveted to the steel wheels which hold the caps on.
