I was born in South Africa, and when I got out of the maternity, I went in this beautiful Rover SD1 (2600)

It was my dad's.
He also had lots of Minis, and he brought a Mini Van he had in Africa, when we came to Portugal. It is currently on a restoration process.
My aunt bought a Mini when she came to here. It was a Portuguese exclusive version, called IMA.
It is in a very poor state, but I didn't gave up on it! Sooner or later she will return to the roads.

Later on, my dad bought a sorry-looking, mechanically ruined Montego 1.6 LS Estate.
It overheated, and had a HGF. Still, it was used and abused until it died. Then, we rebuilt the engine, but the man who took care of the head did a very bad job on it, and so, the gasket went again. Now we delivered it to a trusted company.
We are just waiting for a new gasket!
Later, my dad bought a Rover 416 Tourer, as my brother crashed my dad's car, a Honda Concerto 1.4 GL (twin carb). This was the result.

Finally, my first car.
It was bought back in 1987 by my grandad. When he passed away it was delivered to my mom, who hasn't been taking care of it. So, I said that I wanted to stay with the car for me, I wanted to preserve it.
I am talking about this Rover 213SE.

It has 206 000km (over 120 000miles), and 1000kms ago the engine started do complaint about it. Honda dealers weren't able to get the parts I needed to rebuild the engine, so, my dad decided to take advantage of the wrecked Concerto, swaping the D13 with the D14A1.
This was it:
The old D13

The new D14A1 (don't mind the circle near the air filter box)

Cheers.
